Hiking
Every trail turns into an adventure where strength, curiosity, and your connection to the wild grow with every step.
Lace up your boots and head out across Kimbercote's 100 acres of forested trails and breathtaking local spots like Kolapore and Metcalfe Rock. You'll explore rivers, rocky lookouts, caves, and wildlife habitats — learning to move through the outdoors safely, respectfully, and as a crew. By the end, your legs are tired and your head is full of stories about the wild places you found.

A day on it
At WILDE Camp, hiking days start the same way: boots on, packs ready, trail ahead. Sometimes you're deep in Kimbercote's 100 acres of forested trails, hunting for hidden paths. Other days you head off-site to breathtaking local destinations like Kolapore and Metcalfe Rock. Along the way you explore rivers, rocky lookouts, caves, wildlife habitats, and all kinds of natural landscapes — and you learn how to hike safely and respectfully in the outdoors.
You'll build endurance, practice trail awareness, and work together as a group while you navigate varied terrain. Climb over rocky paths. Spot animal tracks. Stand on a scenic lookout and take in the view you earned. Whether you're discovering a secret forest trail at Kimbercote or topping out on a ridge, every hike is full of exploration, teamwork, and the plain joy of moving through nature together.

Safety, handled
- All hikes are led by trained staff who plan routes, assess terrain, and monitor weather before departure.
- Campers receive trail briefings covering pacing, hydration, group communication, boundaries, and wildlife awareness.
- Staff carry first aid kits and position themselves at the front and back of the group, so no camper is ever out of sight.
- Routes are age-appropriate and chosen for the group's ability and the day's conditions.
