What Awaits You
This is where it begins. Adventure Camp is real outdoor adventure across the Blue Mountains for ages 4–11 — hiking, paddling, building and exploring in small, supervised groups, with new friends and real skills earned every single day. No outdoor experience needed: just a kid who’s ready to run wild.
Every day is an expedition
Campers hike real trails, paddle the Beaver River, build shelters, splash through creeks and explore caves beneath the escarpment — guided by outdoor educators who know every rock and bird call. One day it’s the lookout at Metcalfe Rock, the next it’s the beach at Peasemarsh. Fun takes centre stage, and skills, challenge and growth come right along with it.
- Canoeing, swimming & creek walks (PFDs always)
- Mountain biking on the dry summer pump track
- Hiking, caving & orienteering
- Bushcraft, fire building & shelter building
- Birding, tracking, nature science & arts and crafts
Merit badges that mean something
At WILDE, skills level up. Kids work toward ten real merit badges — Bushcraft, Canoeing, Wilderness First Aid, Fire Building, Knots and more — earning each level by doing, not just showing up. They come home taller (in confidence, not height).
Challenging & fun — on purpose
WILDE days are designed to stretch kids just past comfortable, because that’s where confidence comes from. Staff meet every camper where they’re at — no outdoor experience required, and swimming is never mandatory. The brave thing they try on Tuesday becomes the story they tell all year.
- Perseverance, resilience & grit
- Problem solving & critical thinking
- Teamwork & social skills
- Environmental stewardship

Drop off at 9, pick up at 4, with before- and after-care if you need it. The day runs in hands-on adventure blocks with breaks for lunch and snacks in between — and the summer runs straight through, with no closures for Canada Day or the long weekend.

Home base + the best of the Blue Mountains
Home base is Kimbercote — 100 acres of forest trails, creek and field near Kimberley. From there the week roams to the region’s best wild places: the Beaver River, Kolapore, Metcalfe Rock and Peasemarsh Beach, all 15–25 minutes away. Families get the week’s itinerary the Friday before, so you always know where the adventure is headed.
Pick tomorrow's adventure
Canoes, caves, creeks, bikes and beach days — spin through what’s waiting this summer, then go deeper on any one.
Ten badges to chase
Each badge has levels. You earn them by doing — paddling the river, building the shelter, tying the knot — and wear the proof all year.

Good to know
What are camp hours?
Camp runs Monday to Friday, 9am–4pm. Optional before-care starts at 8:30am and after-care runs to 4:30pm — $25/week each, or $50/week for both.
Is there a bus?
Yes — the Wilde Bus! Adventure Camp offers our own dedicated camp bus from Collingwood, Craigleith and Clarksburg for $55/week (or $6.75/day drop-in).
Families get the week’s itinerary the Friday before, and we’ll always tell you in advance if weather shifts a pickup location.
Does my child need outdoor experience?
Not a bit. WILDE is built to be challenging and fun for total beginners and seasoned explorers alike — instructors meet every camper where they’re at and stretch them just past comfortable. That’s where the confidence comes from.
Does my child need to know how to swim?
No. Swimming is never required, and every water activity is supervised with PFDs mandatory — properly fitted life jackets are worn at all times in or near the water, regardless of swimming ability.
Do you provide lunch or snacks?
No — please pack a lunch, snacks and a full water bottle every day. Camp days are big and appetites are bigger, so make it substantial.
WILDE is a peanut-free environment.
What if my camper is nervous about starting?
Totally normal — new places take a minute. Our staff are trained to help campers settle in, and once kids find the rhythm of the day they typically go home buzzing.
If it would help, book a tour and explore the property together before camp starts — kids who’ve seen camp walk in on day one like they own the place.
