WILDE Way Leadership Initiative
Leadership starts here. A two-week program for tweens 12–14 ready to take on bigger challenges, real responsibility, and their first taste of leading the younger crew.
- Ages 12–14
- $700 / 2-week session
- 4 sessions · June 29–Aug 21
- Early-bird $660 before Apr 1
What Awaits You
The WILDE Way Leadership Initiative is where the adventure grows up. Built for ages 12–14 ready to begin their journey as emerging leaders, campers form their own dedicated crew for the session — going deeper into wilderness skills, then stepping up to help lead the younger camp. Real coaching, real reflection, and a Leadership Portfolio to show for it.
Adventure with real responsibility
WILDE Way campers go deeper — harder hikes, longer paddles, advanced bushcraft — as a dedicated cohort of 12–14s that grows together for the whole session. The challenge is bigger, the crew is tighter, and so is the payoff.
Help lead the younger crew
As the session builds, WILDE Way campers shift from building their own skills to assisting instructors — helping facilitate activities with younger campers, getting hands-on mentoring in group management and safety, and discovering their own leadership style in action.
Coaching, journaling & a Leadership Portfolio
Growth here is on purpose. Every WILDE Way camper gets regular coaching sessions with the Leadership Coordinator, guided journaling to reflect on what’s working, and a personal Leadership Portfolio that documents the skills and milestones they’ve earned — proof of growth they keep.
- One-on-one check-ins with the Leadership Coordinator
- Guided journaling & reflection
- A personal Leadership Portfolio of achievements
- Merit-badge progression continues
Sessions, dates & the fine print
WILDE Way runs in two-week sessions (10 days), Monday to Friday, 9am–4pm — same rhythm as camp, with a packed lunch, PFD and rain gear from home.
- Four sessions: Jun 29–Jul 10 · Jul 13–24 · Jul 27–Aug 7 · Aug 10–21
- $700 per 2-week session ($350/week)
- Early-bird: $660 per session ($330/week) before April 1, 2026

All the adventure — turned up
WILDE Way crews do everything camp does, only deeper: harder trails, longer paddles, bigger water — then help run it for the younger crew.
